On the money
It’s often very gratifying to have your impressions of a person confirmed by someone else.
So it was heartwarming to read Simon Hattenstone’s piece on Alan Milburn in the Guardian and find the New Labour election supremo really is a preening tit who was quite happy to jettison his principles the second they became inconvenient to his ascent up the greasy pole.
