Hobson’s Choice
So I’m doing another online poll for YouGov and it’s yet more questions about the forthcoming election - who do you plan to vote for and so forth.
And then this question is presented:
Given just these two choices, which would you prefer after the next general election?
- A Labour government led by Tony Blair
- A Conservative government led by Michael Howard
Can’t I have seppuku instead?
It’s just as well I’m being paid for 60p for the pleasure.

Couldn’t agree more. However there is such a thing as the lesser of two evils and New Labour are it. I am not a card carrying member yet but I am tempted to join because, at the risk of sounding as optimistic as the 10 year olds who will asking Blair questions on Ant & Dec, someone must be able to change the party’s direction. Anyone want to help me try?
(Just imagining the virulent response this may receive from Chicken Yoghurt - although I think he maybe be a member, though clearly one of the disenchanted?)
