Hiatus
I’m having an off week and hence a week off. I’ve struggled to find a hook since the general election and have been churning out some pretty stale, one-note stuff.
So, I’m taking a break, reading a book and hopefully building up a new head of steam.
Back in ten days or so. Hope to see you then.

Don’t be away too long, your writing will be missed! Post Electoral Depression is hitting lots of us…
We Americans went through this too. But do come back; my blog won’t be the same without Yoghurt to link to.
You would think that experience would be a better teacher. I personally should have known that 30 days of downtime would follow a big project.
Enjoy your rest. And come back soon. When you’re ready.
Bollocks Chickyog. There is nothing struggling, stale or one-note about your posts. I love your fired-up style of writing even when you are completely misguided in what you are writing about (which is often).
Come back tanned and relaxed.
It’s just blog fatigue.
Give Justin a break; after all this shitstorm party is going to last a long time.
Charge them batteries and come back like the Duracell bunny.
PS: Nothing at all wrong with anything you post.
The feeling of post election maliase strikes another victim. Rumours persist of a possible epidemic.
PS - I agree with FF’s PS. Looking forward to more when you’re ready.
I’d echo all the nice stuff above, and add that if your stuff is stale or one-note, I’m in serious trouble with mine. But enjoy the break - I hope it’s a good book.
The bit about being misguided was just flippancy in case anyone thought I wasn’t being nice.
If you return from your holiday with a)a mysteriously unfurrowed brow b)orange tan c)bigger, shinier teeth and d)a white bandana, I shall know they have turned you to the Dark Side.
Have a lovely break, but I’ve loved your stuff recently. It’s been so…gonzo.
Have a good break, I was just thinking the other day - and posted about - how many bloggers seem to be neading to take a bit of a rest post election.
I closed down and started again with a new look and agenda (also partly because my boss told me to take the blog down).
Looking forward to adding you back into my daily dose of opinion.
