If you got asked (virtually) the same written question a number of times - would you not: a) do a little research yourself b) ask those raising the query why they were so sure that your denials were wrong that they felt it necessary to ask you again? Ingram either didn't bother to research, or he already knew what the real answer was. Negligent or liar - hmm, I think we've been there before. In any case if it had been a cockup, he should have been setting the public record straight, not just apologising in private.
