News 24, South Africa: Take on Zim, Straw tells Africa

Speaking to reporters outside an Iraq reconstruction conference sponsored by the United States and the EU, Straw complained about “a lack of real commitment by all of Africa’s leaders to recognise the scale of the horror that is taking place in Zimbabwe.”

HUNDREDS of Zimbabwean asylum-seekers held in detention centres have began a hunger strike over Britain’s decision to speed up their removal and send them back to face torture from Robert Mugabe’s regime.
