UK: New entry on the Axis of Evil
Uh oh. We’ve just made somebody’s shitlist…
The Guardian: Newspapers warn of threat to America from ‘Londonistan’
London has become a “feeding ground for hate” and a “crossroads for would-be terrorists” where Muslims exploit civil liberties to “openly preach jihad”, according to newspapers in the United States.
…
“If London became a magnet for fiery preachers, it also became a destination for men willing to carry out their threats,” said a front page report in the [New York] Times on Sunday. “For a decade, the city has been a crossroads for would-be terrorists who used it as a home base, where they could raise money, recruit members and draw inspiration from the militant messages.”
…
In the Wall Street Journal, the former head of the State Department’s counter-terrorism centre, Larry Johnson, said Britain had been too squeamish about respecting Muslims’ rights.
As a result, argues Peter Bergen, a fellow of the New America Foundation, British Muslims pose “one of the greatest terrorist threats to the United States”.

I think it’s unlikley that we’ll be a member of the Axis of Evil; after all, our Dear Leader does what the US wants & so this country is immune from being listed
They used to say that about Saddam Hussein. Run for the hills.
True… Give it a few yrs & we’ll be at war with ‘em
It’s so ironic that they’ve taken up a meme (Londonistan) that originated with the French secret service in the mid-90s when they were pissed off at us not being sufficiently helpful to the Algerian generals…maybe someone should tell ‘em
Freedom, n. Ammunition for use in the Global War on Terror (GWOT), which is being fought over it, cannot be fought without it, and will therefore come to an end at the precise moment that it is entirely exhausted.
Wow. At least they haven’t heard about Leeds yet. Talk about your hotbeds of terrorism…
Blair’s nightmare; wait until Harry Ramsden’s brigade in Bradford get mobilised.
I think only mass burnings of terrorists in Trafalgar Square can reassure our steadfast allies across the pond that we mean business.
Peace.
