The Times: Brown to deliver Cook eulogy while Blair remains on holiday

The Prime Minister is understood to feel that the security arrangements that would have to be put in place if he did attend would detract attention from the funeral itself.

    What our Tone was really concerned about is the simple truth that he wouldn’t have been able to stop smiling during the funeral service!

    Talk about two-faced! The only way he could be any happier is if the nameplate on the casket read “Brown” instead of “Cook”
