Three wheels on my wagon
Sorry Tim but I’m back on the sauce. Oh boy, did I fall hard.
A lesson learned the hard way is a lesson learned well. My lesson for this week is that Duvel, beautiful temptress that she is, is not a session beer. Egads, my head.
Anyway. Screaming hangover, real work and kids are currently forbidding me from attending to the emails and comments that deserve decent replies. I’ve also been volunteered to write the The Sharpener’s TV review column this weekend while Nick Barlow’s away. So, please hold hard.

I know what you mean. I worked in Brussels for over a year. Duvel is very refreshing and moreish, especially when you are sitting outside a bar on a summer evening.
It’s also 8.5%, which you soon discover when you try and stand up.
If the tribe up north knew Justin was drink that namby pamby drink; well, they’d send him to Coventry.
Oi, cheeky!
I don’t think the Belgians make a namby pamby beer do they?
I was in Bruge with a mate last year and we decided to sample the beer, Bush, in honour of the leader of the Free World.
The waiter in the bar informed us that Bush is Belgium’s strongest beer. Well, knowing that, how could we not?
Crazy thing is that Duvel also makean excellent Pilsner. Very light indeed, about 2.5%.
