I think I did the right thing by ignoring him, while sneaking the occasional look and thinking "that really is him!". I don't know what else you should do in that situation. Go up to him, say "I really love <I>Blood And Chocolate</I>" and ask for his autograph? Elvis is renowned for being a it grumpy in those sorts of situations.
