Moral Dilemma

By walking down the street and distracting gullible members of the public with a picture of Richard Madeley, you are able to help yourself to thousands of pounds from their pockets. Upon your apprehension by the police, do you:

a) Throw yourself on their mercy and admit you are a misanthropic exploiter of people’s stupidity?

or

b) Call Michael Grade as a witness for your defence?

I think I’d take Option A, but would politely ask the police not to punch me repeatedly while I was lying on the ground.

BTW was it me, or did Grade say ‘X Files’ in an interview yesterday, instead of ‘X Factor’?

Perhaps age is catching up with him.

Maybe it was a freudian slip and Grade actually wants ITV to be a Sky One clone to try and boost the ratings. Let’s face it, it couldn’t be worse than ‘Primeval’ and endless psychological cop ‘thrillers’.
