Rivers of Blears

Nice to see somebody giving Margaret ‘Rivers of Bloody Opportunism‘ Hodge a poke:

Cabinet member Alan Johnson has accused industry minister Margaret Hodge of using the language of far-right BNP.

The Labour deputy leadership race is one that many of us wish all the candidates could lose. At least, however, their reactions to Hodge’s gobshitery puts some clear water between those we merely want to see lose and those we really, really want to see lose.

Northern Ireland Secretary Peter Hain and backbencher Jon Cruddas – who are also running for the deputy leadership position against Mr Johnson – have criticised her comments…

…while…

…fellow contender Hazel Blears gave her some support.
