A good day to bury good news

She’s gone!

Mr Brown is thought likely to carry out the bulk of his Cabinet reshuffle on Thursday, but it has already emerged that one definite change will see Patricia Hewitt stepping down as health secretary.

Update: Beckett goes as well.

We should enjoy it while we can. They said on the news this afternoon that Gordon and Charles Clarke have made their peace…

Now comes the real trouble at least Tony was a liar and spoke to the people espousing his shinyness but Brown is a totally different animal.

    “Hewitt steps down”

It just shows – no matter what you think of them, they can always get lower. In the nicest possible way.

Baroness Amos has been sent into exile and all.

Is there going to be anyone left who’s worth hating?

(Then again, the BBC seemed to think Kitty Ussher had a hope of a high-up post when they interviewed her earlier… That’d work…)

Word is that Jacqui Smith is the new Minister of the Interior– sorry, Home Secretary. Well, after the Vic Mackey clone that was John Reid, they’ve got to try something different. I’m hoping Beckett ends up as Minister for Saudi Arms Dea– sorry, Death and Destructio– sorry, Defence.
