Is there going to be a Resignation Honours List? If so I’d have thought there was adequate time left to speculate on its contents.

Unlike Clinton and Nixon, Blair doesn’t get to do pardons, does he?

    ejh,

Blair even managed to screw up his resignation honours by missing the deadline. So if there are any, they will only be minor ones.

Totally agree, Michael. Here’s Simon Carr in today’s Independent:

For a decade, the government of Britain has been a clique surrounded by a claque. Presumably it doesn’t always have to be like this. But that’s probably the way to bet.

Since I work more or less in the area, any suggestions of when would be the best time to head down to Parliament Square and jeer the departing murderer?

Excellent stuff. I’ll be the tall man screaming obscenities that would make a 17th century Bishopsgate fishwive swoon.
