What not to watch

If you’re not a fan of the original, dark, wry and hyper-intelligent dramas that the American television networks seem to produce so effortlessly these days, then I urge you not to find a site where you can’t download episodes of Dexter, like I just haven’t.

The tale of a Miami PD serial killer hunter by day who is a freelance serial killer serial killer by night, the eponymous Dexter is played by a now buff and disturbingly detached Michael C Hall from ‘Six Feet Under’. But you don’t want to hear about that.

No. Go and watch Holby Blue. Or don’t.

Off Up North for a few days. Back Monday.

You can find it at http://www.tv-links.co.uk/

I’ve only watched the first episode, but it was far better than almost anything else on TV right now. I’m a little worried that the idea won’t be sustainable over an entire series, but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

I’ve watched five and it’s simmering nicely.

Intriguing. I shall have to check it out. Oh, and it is possible to watch it in the non-download fashion – it started on the FX channel (available on satellite and cable) this very week and is repeated several times throughout the week.

I haven’t watched any, though I didn’t intend to. Can’t not say I didn’t fail not to enjoy them in the slightest, though. Or possibly not.

    Justin,

It is Wednesday and I have only 14 votes from 49.

If you’re thinking of waiting until the last minute, may I beg you to reconsider. Though we gave a date of Friday evening, the longer our members refrain from voting, the longer we are preserving the agony.

May I humbly and respectfully ask that you don’t let it go that long but get your vote in soon so we know what is happening?

    Yours, James

I’ve watched the whole series and found myself hooked. The Dexter character is compelling. However I did find most of the episodes a little contrived, they seem to try a little too hard to develop the running story whilst giving Dexter precisely new victim per episode, much like Six Feet Under featured a new corpse each week.
