That we have a vacuous and utterly futile politician with a name like Jacqui Smith as Home Secretary in this country tells all we need to know about the infantile nature of the so-called mature democracy in which we are said to be living.
Bear in mind that after the alleged attempted terrorist outrages of recent days we were told to wait exxpectantly for an announcement from Smith. The woman is so definitively ordinary and unexceptional she makes a mockery of that quaint English cliche about understatement.
It should be an offence to be represented by such a talentless nurd but then again since I understand she is MP for Redditch maybe she’s well-suited for her non-descript constituents.
Has anyone wondered why our system is now so clogged with non-entities like Smith?
Well I would hazard that she is symptomatic of a very third-rate people who have lost the capacity to analyse the world in which they live, can’t be arsed to take part in the democratic process anymore and are resigned to their fate of residence in a country consigned to oblivion and complete irrelevance to history.
Yet such is our monstrous arrogance we still think we have a God-given right to smash up and subvert other countries and demand that they suscribe to our way of life.
By the way who gives a razz whether Smith had a reefer at college. It’s just another example of the detritus media analysts will pore over at a typically superficial level ad infinitum.
