[W]hy do the Saudis need military aid at all? Their favourite weapon seems to be the stone. I suppose now if a woman commits adultery or speaks out of turn she’ll be battered to death with a bloody great ruby instead.

What a depressing world we live in.
What an inert and stagnant left has signally failed to take on board re-US plans for full-spectrum dominance is that the oft-quoted reference to creating “our own reality” is to the 9/11 atrocity.
PNAC planners sought a new Pearl Harbour to kick-start their new 2!st century Empire project.9/11 revamped the original Northwoods Plan of 1962 to attack Cuba.This involved a staged Cuban ground-to-air missile attack on a US passenger aircraft.
If we take the Bush adviser’s advice and study their futuristic planning from previous eras to now it is transparently clear that as Eisenhower feared the US state has been hijacked by a military industrial complex whose sole raison d’etre is permanent war.
From the forward strategy in SE Asia that began in China and shifted inexorably to Korea(1949-53),Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia(1959-75)to the checkmate of Soviet power in Afghanistan a nexus of military,aerospace,and big oil interests has initiated and carried forward without any de-escalation whatever a strategy of covert destabiization and conquest.
Where now in Iraq we see the enlarged role of military contractors such private armies were always central to US plans for conquest from the days of the immensely powerful China Lobby that drove the careers of aspirant statesmen like the Dulles brothers and Nixon to the now equally powerful Israeli lobby.
While critics of US policies have stared incredulous at the sight of the Twin Towers collapsing and swallowed wholesale the other manufactured fictions that are the official accounts of how wars began in Korea,Laos,Cambodia and Vietnam before that they have betrayed both the victims of such wars and themselves.
It is a failure of nerve for which they should not be forgiven by future generations who will probably say as they watch the Twin Tower footage these people must have been the dumbest that ever lived.
After the false intelligence and staged attacks that have gone before how could they fail to miss that one?
When WTC7 pancaked at about 5.20pm.on 9/11 it had not been hit by any plane and the collapse has never been explained.That it was the CIA,Secret Service HQ “smoking gun” for the planning of the whole operation went unnoticed.
They’ll likely get away with it again some time soon while we remain in our comfort zone of magic realist Time-Warner illusions.
