With the camel or the woman?
I found a spot for this story too. They are such ungainly and ugly creatures. What a disappointing way to go. I wonder what to say at the funeral and the epitaph. “Shagged to death by a Camel.”
Can I just say how incredibly unfunny I find this story, and all the lovely blokey jokeyness that has followed it. Yes, a woman killed in a deeply unpleasant way by an animal – ha ha ha.
Come on, Katherine. The woman was shagged to death by a camel. Most of us will go out screaming our last, without a shred of dignity, in a cancer ward somewhere.
Personally, I’d prefer people laughed at how I shuffle off.
In the category of “deaths I find funny”, you might find people who died in ironic ways as result of their own gittishness, perhaps, or people who killed themselves in unbelievably moronic ways, say. But raped by a large mammal? No, sorry, still not finding that in any way amusing.
Yes, I take your point.
(Although I’d still take the camel over, say, bowel cancer any day of the week.)
