Priorities
Garry Bushell, 21st Century Boy:
‘I think there are a lot of things to put right in this country before you go around preaching the gospel of perversion,’ he said.
Yes, like tying up bottom-feeding old never-weres in a sack and dropping them in the Thames, for starters.
Homophobia, as we all know, is largely based on a misplaced narcissistic rape anxiety. But what’s Bushell’s excuse? Surely even he can see that no self-respecting gay man would look at him twice? Is it the nagging horror that he might enjoy it, perhaps?

If you want to shut Bushell up all you have to do is ask him about his visits to the annual NF dinner-dance back in his days as a music journo on Sounds.
Beating him unconscious with a motorbike chain would achieve the same “shutting Bushell up” goal with greater entertainment value and less tedious politican wankery (I mean, who cares whether or not Bushell was in the NF? - he’s clearly a Nazi thug, whether card-carrying or otherwise…)
I dunno. Bushell always struck me as something of a bear. Stick him in a vest and chaps and he’d go down a storm on the leather-daddy scene.
I have to admit that I was always unconvinced by his apparent move from the hard left in the late 70s to the hard right by the mid 80’s. He’s either a guy who will say anything he thinks his paymasters or audience wants him to - his byline photos tend to show him in a shirt, whereas the man is apparently a dyed-in-the-wool punk and covered in tattoos (been leader of The Gonads for years) - or he’s a dangerous magpie.
Slightly offtopic, but I sent a reply to the Telegraph’s Simon “Laughing Boy” Heffer, concerning his latest ramblings. Strange (or, perhaps, not so strange) is that the Telegraph’s moderators changed a key word of my message, causing it to lose impact. I wrote:
“So, to sum up: kill the poor and privatise everything will make everything better. Wow, Huffer - you must be a hit at children’s parties…”
For some reason, their mods saw fit to change the word ‘kill’ with ‘remove’. So much for free speech, eh?
As I usually observe, the real people to blame aren’t the Bushells and Mendozas but the people who hired them. They knew what they were and that’s why they hired them. Why aren’t reporters phoning up Talksport bosses and asking them why they did this and the first place and when they’re going to resign?
A link to this required, I think…
