unsubscribe from human rights abuse in the war on terror

Update: I’ve been told in the comments in no uncertain terms that, despite this being my blog to run as I see fit, it is incumbent on me to explain just what that link is for, the destination website’s self-explanatory page being a bridge too far for some, clearly.

Unsubscribe is Amnesty International’s new initiative to register concern and protest at the way The War Against Terror has been/ is being conducted. You know, torture, extraordinary rendition, those kind of things.

This has been a public service announcement for the time-poor, lazy and/or misanthropic.

I may do if you summarise the precept. I am not about to read the whole website to find out the meaning of the protest.

    STB.

ps 1) I hate when people take for granted that I have followed everything they have an interest in,

& 2) I hate being unavoidably linked to a website when I am typing a comment.

    STB.

    Hey ScotsToryB.

I hope the precept is summarised clearly for you now. Sorry you’re not prepared to read stuff, that’s a shame. I find myself desperate to read anything I can. I’m pretty sure getting information is a good thing.

your ps 1: I can’t follow how Mr Yoghurt has taken anything about you for granted.

And your ps 2: just doesn’t make any sense, mate. You’re not “unavoidably linked” to anything when you’re “typing a comment”.

    best regards

And the terminally incurious and unadventurous.

    I’ve unsubscribed, thanks Justin.

Unsubcribed and wondering what the density of a ScotsTory equates to…

I hate it when Scottish Tories assume that I care a damn about their pedantic griping.

Excellent work as always by Amnesty. I’ll be over there shortly, and posting about this on my own blog. Thanks for the link.

    Ahem. :(

    Sorry.

No excuses although I’m not usually that intemperate.
