The analysis is clear , simple, brief, accurate and commendable.

The Policy recommendations are …

1. Carry on as …er .. normal… for the moment anyway.

2. It might also be possible to re-open
disused coal mines in the UK which still
hold large reserves of coal and produce

3. Research into renewables should certainly
be pursued

4. In the medium and long-term the chart
plainly shows the way forward – it has
to be nuclear…. To build 10 new nuclear power stations would cost less than the UK contributes
to the EU budget in two years.

Which doesn’t seem to have a lot to do with the proposals for a unified EU strategy for energy security which was the basis for the debate they were holding at the time.

Re-reading their policy it does appear that the insane and intense nationalism and xenophobia of UKIP accords fairly well with that of the St Petersburg mafiosi, Putin’s silovaki and grotesque Karimov gangster clan.

Mr Wise and UKIP appear to have more in common with the wannabe fat Uzbek / Russian than it might first appear – although the criminality of their ex and exiled member Ashley Mote jailed for 9 months, 2 weeks ago for massive benefit fraud (he continues it appears to retain his salary of £75 K whilst in the slammer) cannot match the likes of Alisher Usmanov and his colleagues.

As Mr Wise represents UKIP on Culture he might now benefit us with his views on Mr Usmanov’s recent re-patriation of Mstislav Rostropovich and Galina Vishnevskaya’s collection of Russian art, and the The Soyuzmultfilm Film Library whose copyright ownership is in legal dispute.

To be fair UKIP have been trying to highlight the growing EU energy catastrophe for a good few years, but frankly nobody will give them the time of day on the subject.

Oh yes, and not all politicians are wankers, timing is everything, this specific debate allowed the subject to be aitred in a public place, the opportunitioes otherwise are very limited.

Mr Wise (sounds like a character from PIlfrim’s process) like all Labour MP’s (and MEP’s) has been remarkably silent for the last 10 years about the complete absence of a UK enerrgy security policy.

The Forthcoming UK Energy deficit (FCUKED) have been relentlesy pursuing this topic for years – and the successive Energy Ministers have now run out and we don’t have one.

If Mr Wise really wants to stand up and be counted he should make his remarks publicly and not surround his precious self with parliamentary privilege.
