Leave me, I’m only slowing you down

I’m nearly dead. Some bastard lurgie has laid me low for two days. I owe a load of people emails which will be arriving soon(ish) once I’ve stopped sweating like a National winner and having unsettling dreams about being inducted into a cult.

In the meantime, can I just say that the new Radiohead album has soothed my fevered brow today. It’s amazing. I am now quite ashamed at the piffling amount I paid for it.

In other news, this is funny. At Prime Minister’s Questions today, Gordon Brown gloated about a petition on the Downing Street website calling for a General Election and only having 26 signatures. It now has loads. All good fun. However, if you sign it before December 1 when the electoral rolls are updated, you’re an utter bastard who should go and live in North Korea.

And now, back to my plague bed…

Cheers, Sue. That’s going to make for a restful night. I wouldn’t mind but the night-terrors never seem to have an upside. Why can’t I have Jack Straw trying to retrieve an errant contact lens from a waste-disposal unit, or some other similarly gory but satisfying mind-movie?

I think I might be on the mend…

I heartily recommend lots of chicken soup.

I’m one of those people lost in the electoral void (I moved home recently), so yeah - no election just yet, thanks.

Good call about the radiohead download - gonna check that out today. Would be nice if you could pay an amount, check out the tunes, then pay more (against the same account) later if you like it. I think that might count as two purchases with their current setup, which would throw out their averages.

If they had an upside they wouldn’t be night ‘terrors’ would they.

Hope this morning finds you feeling better :)

    LOL @ Sue S

It’s your own damn fault for ordering the sushi, Justin.

So go buy it again and give Radiohead some more money. It’s not complicated.

Forget chicken soup. What you need is tons and tons of ginger. Eat it and chew it like no one’s business. You’ll be fine in no time, guaranteed.

No need to thank me afterwards.

Aaah, the Kinghell Lurgy! - yup, got it too, arrived just a day before my birthday, and 2 days before going to see Dream Theater. I had to leave before the encore as my head felt like one gigantic swollen sinus!

Luverly image, eh? Yeah, well it wasn’t so great from the inside, I tells ya!
