Petition or attrition?

I’m in two minds about blogging and signing this:

We, European citizens of all origins and of all political persuasions, wish to express our total opposition to the nomination of Tony Blair to the Presidency of the European Council.

Sure, if he gets the job thousands will very probably die and the continent will be finally arrive back in the Dark Ages, a time to where it is already hurtling.

But think of the time bloggers, writers, columnists, poets and other assorted tragedians would have. It’d be a golden age for world literature.

Never took you for an “end of times”, rapture “sorta straight guy”. Was Blair biting the pillow, when you caught a glance of “666″ above his left ear’s in the hairline?

When I first heard about this I thought to myself I gotsa sign this, the reason being I new blair was a wrongun from when I first saw his treasonous mug in a photo, and I would not like to pass up an occasion to stick one in,but after reading what the creators of this petition had to say I would not touch it with yours,[as we say in pompey] I think the motivation driving this particular petition is vastly more personal than any desire for public good.

There might be a side benefit if he gets it – the Eye could start up the pastoral letter from the Cardinal Archbishop of Berlaymont. I’ve missed the parish mag from St Albions.
