Threaded comments
I’ve installed a Threaded Comments plugin on the blog to give it a go. Basically, it allows commenters to reply to a specific comment. It then groups those comments together meaning you can several conversations running for any individual post. Sounds very nice.
There’s an example of me replying to comments here.

Ooooh,
Look at Mr. Fancy Pants!
You know it, baby.
Just wanted to see how a reply to a reply is styled.
Yes, I should have checked that. I’m not sure I like it. How does a reply to a reply to a reply look? The plugin will nest to as many levels as you like. I’ve got it set to ten.
I’ve also noticed that you’re no longer displaying a link-list of recent comments on the front page. This seems like something of a retrograde step to me, as it makes following discussions a fair bit more difficult (having to scroll down the page and hope you remember how many comments were posted to each recent article last time you looked).
Yes, I was trying to make the place a little less cluttered and didn’t know if anyone found that feature useful. If you find that useful, Jim, I’m happy to put it back in.
(There’s the comment RSS feed as well but I have to say I find that a pain in the arse myself.)
Have a look now Jim. Let me know what you think.
I used this plugin. Very nice - infinitely configurable.
Much better (in my opinion). That’s the same comments plug-in that I use myself as it happens, though I’m still in two minds about the threading. It’s a great idea in principle, and I suspect I’d use it myself if I had more comment-traffic than I do, but as it stands I think it would be overkill.
You get enough traffic to generate threaded discussions from time to time though, so it works here.
