The threat of a bad example

The high court has heard unchallenged allegations that it was Prince Bandar, the alleged beneficiary of £1bn in secret payments from the arms giant BAE, who threatened to cut off intelligence on terrorists if the investigation into him and his family was not stopped.

Remind me, what happened the last time a Middle Eastern country ‘threatened‘ our security?

Once again you make the assumption that the Mid East threatened us, nether Iraq or Afghanistan threatened the UK. And do you realy think that we would go to war with the worlds number one oil producer, come on what planet do you live on. Why do you think we have spent the last 50 years propping up the Saudi regime with arms, its not because they grow carrots in the desert. Also they have a good history of sharing intel with the west dont they, I mean they did a good job warnning America abut 9/11 didnt they. This is simply realpolitik in action, nothing more.
