There’s much about Gil Scott-Heron to be admired. But I feel his decision to become a corporate spokesman for PepsiCo (”You Know When You’ve Been Tango’d!”) does undercut his message of social justice somewhat.
Dammit, Jim, don’t tell me things like that. This is like when I found out out Bill Hicks was considering doing an ad before he died.
