I have a ‘Thunderer’ - the FA approved, football referees’ whistle - next to the phone for use on such occassions.

    Funny, they NEVER call back.

How very scary. Tim Ireland is one of my favourite bloggers. Dogged and persistent, meticulous to a fault and blessed with a remarkable ability to root through their collected excretia with a pair of tweezers and not vomit up a kindey in the process. He’s a thorn in the side of this bunch and they hate him for it don’t they?

And if he then backtracked like a worn army tire, deleted said phone number from comments and deleted the comments about it, and pretended like no such comments ever existed, honest, guv… what would I think then?

    Perhaps I’d go skiing.

This is what comes of confusing Tories for human beings. Trouble is, we’ve had NuLab in for so long now that people forget.
