Well, for myself, I’ll admit that as someone who is nauseatingly politically correct, as I am, I didn’t choose my language very well. I did use a word open to a number of interpretations. I realised almost the second I pushed the button. I’m sympathetic to his reaction.

I am disappointed that the drama queen accused you of being homophobic. I was rather hoping he would accuse me of that. I won't mince words. Iain Dale has on several occasions on his blog drawn attention to his homosexuality with double entendres.
