So you’ve decided to pervert the course of justice. Before you embark on your venture, there are a number of considerations to take into accout if you are to be successful.

OK. lets go the other way and widen the issue.
The same Government; that sacked it’s ambassador for bringing to light the boiling alive, among other atrocities, of political and religious opponents and sought to play down that torture; which allowed UK facilities to be used for the transportation of people kidnapped for the purpose of torture; and which is currently very circumspect over the use of intimidation and abuse of human rights in Tibet, is today (Saturday) reported to be publicly chastising the current regime in Zimbabwe over the use of intimidation to stay in power?
Elsewhere, this same Government which sends troops into combat with inadequate equipment and supplies, putting their lives at greater risk, intends to simultaneously appeal against a legal ruling holding them responsible for the breach of human rights their negligence entails whilst seeking, with the tacit support of the so called opposition, to pervert the cause of justice by blocking any future criminal investigations, like that of the BAE fraud case, partly on the grounds that such investigations put our troops lives at risk?
You couldn’t make this stuff up - people would laugh you out of town.
Is it really too much to expect some degree of consistency from our political class over what are claimed by them to be basic unalienable “British” values?
Failing that, the very least they could do is to provide a fig leaf for themselves in the form of a chart or league table telling us ordinary voters whose human rights and lives are considered to be less worthy or more valuable than others and in what circumstances.”
Perhaps the Grauniad could knock up one for them? Something along the lines of 1 cowboy and his posse = 56 Million UK subjects? Or 1 tinpot Middle Eastern despot is worth more taxpayers money in bribes than you shake a wet cat at?
Maybe 1 Eurasian gangster = umpteen African and Latin American ones except in cases where the gangster is acting as local Capo Bastone for the Western Political class?
And of course, 1 profesional middle class family is worth more than every single working class family throughout history.
That just about covers it I think?
