DUP: closet projectionists
What I want to know is, if the Democratic Unionist Party hates homosexuals so much, why was it so willing to grab its ankles for Gordon Brown yesterday? Was it mere experimentation or the symptoms of a deeper ‘abomination’?

The DUP MP and spokesperson (Campbell) on the Today programme this morning referred to the margin of victory for the government in the vote as the “margin of error”. He got that right.

Question. Is a government’s reliance on Unionist votes:
( a ) a sign of terminal decline?
( b ) a reliable indicator of how bad a piece of legislation is?
( c ) a measure of a PM’s desperation?
( d ) all of the above?
Those of us with older memories can recall a Labour government relying on Unionist votes: that one ended badly, too.
I’m not sure why anybody would expect the DUP to have any problem with draconian security legislation.
I fear you’re being a bit unkind here, Justin. Brown did, after all, use plenty of lube.
