Mad about the boys
Some days Jacqui Smith should just keep her her fat, misanthropic gob shut…
Gay and lesbian asylum-seekers can be safely deported to Iran as long as they live their lives “discreetly”, the Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, has claimed.
So simple when you put it like that though, isn’t it? If only Iran’s notoriously flamboyant gay community had thought of it they wouldn’t be in the position of desperately throwing themselves on the mercy of this emotionally-retarded New Labour shower of quota fillers.
No doubt Ms Smith allowed herself a little tight-lipped smile of a job well done when she and her special advisers alighted on the fragrant ‘discreetly’ as opposed to the more honest ’suppressing their sexuality’ or ‘quietly in fear of gut-churning punishment from the Iranian state’.
Up until now, of course, Iranian homosexuals have been mincing about the place in just cock socks and leather chaps and only have themselves to blame. If they’ve got any sense, they’ll cancel the annual Tehran Gay Pride Parade this year.
(Surely Jesus has wept himself dry by now?)
Update: Philip…
It is difficult to imagine just how Agent Smith imagines people generally behave when their lives are at risk; it is possible that Iranian homosexuals dye their beards pink and call the ayatollahs “sweetie-pie” whenever opportunity permits, but I have my doubts.

She must be pleased though, she’s just cleared the entire asylum application list with her “just keep your head down” solution.
Seems like every day I read something else that makes me think “that’s it, no way I’m voting for this shower of bastards again”. I’m going to start bookmarking posts like this in a folder called “DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT” for reference when the next election looms.
Ben’s latest blog post… Good news and bad news
I thought she’d completely cracked up when I read this in the Indie. They are going barmier and barmier. What’s the point of a Labour Government which gives away what principles it had to the Daily Mail
Paul Martin’s latest blog post… Gays, dissidents and cancer sufferers all failed by the Home Office. Time to act!
I’m a misanthrope, and I object to being lumped in with that evil harpy.
Jennie’s latest blog post… RIP George Carlin.
I agree. Rational and principled detestation of the human race should not be lumped in with mere tabloid-appeasing persecution of selected out-groups.
Philip’s latest blog post… The Better Part of Valour
My mistake. I got general low-level contempt confused with satanic majesty. Won’t happen again.
No wonder the Heinz mayo advert is upsetting the UK, we are a nation of bigots and idiots. Our politicians lead the way…

Exactly how fucking discreet is it going to be, arriving at Teheran Airport having just been deported?
ejh’s latest blog post… Hallucinations
They send them in disguise – they make them all dress like Jeremy Clarkson.
Late on the thread but…
What are the actual mechanics of an enforced “repatriation”? Can this information be found on a UK government website?
At the UK end, we know that the individual will be detained. S/he will be handcuffed to one or two immigration officers and escorted onto a commercial airline flight to assumed country of origin. Presumably the destination country has been informed that UK government officials will be bringing along an unwilling traveller.
What happens next? What information is provided by UK immigration officials to their counterparts at the destination? When do the cuffs come off?
The UK Border Agency has a page called “Deportations with Assurance” which starts with the following comforting words:
“The United Kingdom has agreed memoranda of understanding on deportation with assurances with Jordan, Lebanon and Libya and has separate arrangements on this with Algeria.”
How many countries are recognised by the United Nations?
