Where’s the justice?
So, according to How Clever Am I, (via Matt T) it turns out I’m a triple-A student.
That being the case, why did I spend the early 90s at a poxy West Yorkshire poly and not at Oxbridge? How come now I’m a soulless misanthrope sitting in the spare bedroom in my pants and not a soulless misanthrope on the fringes of the Cabinet making poor people’s lives even more miserable?
I tell you, there’s no justice.

My 1994 points are now worth a whopping 32 points.

Ah! You went to a Poly as well as being northern and working class? Now it all makes sense… The anger towards your betters that spews out in a never-ending stream on this delightful blog comes from being a filthy, bitter, resentful and ill-educated prole.

I beats you all! Ner ner.
Woo! 37.5 points. And two of those A-levels were in proper i.e. science subjects (which pegs their “real” value even higher, doncha know).
OK, I’m off to find a time machine and go back to 1990 to do an Oxbridge BSc in Irresponsible Financial Risk Redistribution and Fuckoffology, so I can spend the last 18 years enriching myself at the expense of global financial stability.

56.6, or 71.5 if you include General Studies (others Maths, Sciences; Bog standard comprehensive). But it wasn’t for nothing. I ended up in South Yorkshire, much finer than West Yorkshire.
Joe Otten’s latest blog post… Still alive
Just 30.72, if we’re not counting General Studies. But that was enough to get me out of South Yorkshire, to universities in North Yorkshire, then West Yorkshire, and now South Wales.
But at least I didn’t go to Hull.
