Nuclear numbers

There’s a nuclear reactor being built at Flamanville in France that, despite being under construction for only nine months, is already nine months behind schedule. How does that work then?

    It remind me of the line from the Tropic Thunder trailer: “a month behind schedule five days into shooting”.

    And my PhD progress - a couple of years behind schedule with just a couple of weeks to go.

    But I don’t think that you can explain delays in building a nuclear plant can be explained by the antics of disconnected Hollywood stars (as in comparison 1), or too much boozing and rugby (as in comparison 2).
