McCain’s slow motion car crash

I haven’t been following the race for the US presidency very closely. But with John McCain’s campaign starting to look like a debacle of epic, toe-curling proportions, it might just be worth starting to take a closer look.

What with vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin having a space between her ears you could drive a Humvee through and more skeletons in her closet than Jeffrey Dahmer, McCain trying to dodge the first televised debate, and David Letterman getting stuck into him

…it’s time to pull up a chair and settle down for the fun.

(McCain’s still going to win mind you. What do you think this is, Hollywood?)

Very entertaining. The betting markets and the psephologists seem to favour Obama, but you have to believe that evil forces will come to the fore. Call me cynical. I lived there for many years. Obamas agenda is not going to sit well with many groups.

I’ve already called it for Obama. America is a great country and I have faith that it will see sense.

Which countries do you not consider to be great countries?

I don’t consider Liechtenstein to be a great country. Nor the Vatican City, Saudi Arabia and Belgium. The UAE and Andorra are teetering right there on the edge of non-greatness too.
