Thank you sweetie.

I just. Don’t. Get it.
Well, try harder then, rather than trying your hardest to sound like a teenager.
People vote for the Labour Party because they think a Tory government will be worse. They have good reasons for thinking that, and they also have good reason to feel that a Liberal Democratic leadership with a cynical and hard-right economic policy may be an unpalatable vote for them to cast.
And try not to engage in stupid exaggerations. “The Labour Party has made a police state” – really? Do you really think that the UK resembles a police state? Have you been locked up or visited by the police for writing your piece? Were you stopped on the way home and did informers, do you reckon, file a report on your daily activities?
Do you think that to exaggerate in that way is a rational or reasonable thing to do? And if somebody who supports Labour’s political rivals does that, do you really think people are so stupid as to not notice what you’re doing? Do you not think they’ll write it off as an alarmist piece of politicking?
By the way, I’m a migrant. I’ve not voted Labour since 1997 and I won’t be voting Labour next time round – to do so I would need to apply for a postal vote and to cast it for Tessa Jowell, and that’s not something I’m prepared to do. (Besides, if Jowell needed my vote, with her majority, the game would be up with or without it.) Many other people, though, will be voting Labour for good reasons (and if I were voting, I would still rather vote for them than for the Lib Dems.)
Morover, they might not be doing so with just your problems in mind. They may have other priorities as well, and they may, as people have to do, weigh these up against one another. And come to a different decision to the one you demand they make. That’s not such a hard thing to get.
