    …because she won the deputy leader contest. And the fact that she’s female and slim and southern balances Gordon’s portly male Scottishness. And she (sort of) regretted the Iraq war. And oh, did I mention that she’s female?*

    *Note: this was pretty much her campaign pitch, so don’t blame me for pointing it out. It’s also her ‘can I call a friend’ answer every time she clashes with ‘14 Pints’ Hague. I wouldn’t mind, but it just looks lazy.
