Lipstick on a Pygmalion

On Channel 4 News, they’ve just shown a brief clip of a post-election interview with Sarah Palin. The ‘you betcha, golly gee whizz’ schtick and accent have completely disappeared.

Funny that.

    So you reckon she was actually an articulate, sophisticated thinker, pretending to be a dumb hick for electoral purposes?

    Might this be the case with Bush as well? I have visions of him turning into Stephen Fry on Jan 21..

      Well articulate and sophisticated might be pushing it but this kind of thing isn’t without precedent when it comes to talking down to the proles.
