Edifying
So who won the noble battle of Baby P this lunchtime, as the Prime Minister of Great Britain and the leader of Her Majesty’s loyal opposition wrestled over the child’s corpse?
It depends on who you ask. ”’It looked as though Cameron completely lost it,” one delighted minister told The Mole.’ John Rentoul at The Independent earns himself a punch up the bracket for: ‘If it was Andy Coulson, Cameron’s press secretary, who advised him to ask about the case, score another point to him.’
‘Delighted‘ ministers? ‘Another point‘ for Cameron? Them dead kids sure do come in handy. Baby P’s death was not in vain.

The whole situation was totally unedifying for everyone, but Cameron was right to be furious that Brown dodged questions about Baby P three times during PMQs and basically accused Cameron of trying to score political points when he was just trying to get an all-consensus on an investigation into the issue.
The fact that Brown doesn’t want an investigation and showed no interest in holding people accoutable speaks volumes.

I was actually sick in my mouth watching that.
It’s hard to defend Brown. But then only a moron would suggest that it was a good performance from Cameron.
Shame on both their houses.
At least the speaker said something about it…
Quite eloquently, too. Addressing both sides of the House. Good on him.
“It will not do for us to shout across the Chamber after this terrible news has come to us.”

“Order. I appeal to the House again: it is not good, at a time when we have heard this news about a little child who has gone before us, that we should be shouting across the Chamber.”
