Reversal of fortune
In an astounding reversal, the Tories are slowly handing the next general election to New Labour, aren’t they? Cameron thought he could do a Blair and just wait. Now he needs some proper ideas, he’s stuffed. They sent kids to do the jobs of grown-ups, the clueless sods. Cameron and Osborne look like they should be out building dens and tying bangers to cats’ tails. An alternative proposal to help us out of recession? Pass the crayons. They never, ever, got the knack of opposition and opposing, did they? Cheers for that, says a grateful nation.

I’ll always remember them for their bold opposition to the illegal invasion of Iraq and SOCPA when it counted.
[rolls eyes]
In fact, they both did so well, they each deserve first pick of toy for playtime.
(Don’t fight, boys!)
Don’t forget their dogged support of the Iraqi interpreters and employees. Boy, William Hague really put his balls on the line for them, didn’t he?
Yeah, that was awesome. But don’t forget; Liam Fox did his bit, too.
The Tories are, in theory, in favour of an official inquiry about the UK participation in the invasion of Iraq, but I bet that they will be quite relieved if it nevers happens. Some of the things that people like IDS and Michael Portillo said at the time look rather dodgy now.
