Kamm’s zeitgeist
It’s 2009 and Oliver Kamm’s latest two posts on his blog are about some bloke called George Galloway. Topical or what?

Oliver “Write the feem toon…sing the feem toon” Kamm:
“…also experienced by my friend Christopher Hitchens after he’d whopped Galloway in their New York debate.”
Hitchens, of course, did no such thing, as most rational observers noted at the time.
Our Kamm’s never been one to allow the facts to get in the way of “polemic”.
Not at all. There’s facts all over Kamm’s stuff – matter of fact you can’t see the polemic for the facts.
How he interprets and chooses his facts, mind…
Indeed, Hitchens v Galloway was a wholly depressing spectacle of two self-aggrandizing boors butting heads to no purpose.
Beyond depressing, I’d say. A bit like the Daleks versus the Cybermen – whoever wins, ultimately it’s humanity that loses.
If forced, though, I’d choose ‘upgrading’ over ‘extermination’.
So I guess it is:
