Links and stuff from between January 23rd and February 2nd
Just what tickled my fancy between January 23rd and February 2nd:
- And Another Thing: Frank Skinner minds his language – 'I fancy "Boys From The Black Stuff" and "Our Friends In The North" managed to convey a sense of real life without employing as much profanity as Gordon Ramsay needs to make an omelette.'
- Campaigning is like sex, says Blears – In the name of all things sacred. Won't someone please pass the mindbleach.
- Catherine Bennett: Does Labour really think John Prescott is the new Obama? – 'But so far, contributors to Labour's proliferating websites appear to have shown extraordinary tact where this kind of potentially embarrassing subject is concerned, avoiding everything from Labour's dishonesty about the war and the death of Dr Kelly to its responsibility for the deaths of 178 servicemen in Iraq, betrayal of civil liberties, missing EU referendum, non-regulation of the City, third runway and record debt.'
- Between the Hammer and the Anvil: A Cower Of Shunts – 'When Iain Dale says that the BNP belong to the left in "political theoretical terms", he means "according to the ludicrous criteria that I have just pulled out of my arse".'
- Twenty-five people at the heart of the economic meltdown… – Surely some kind of Battle Royale is in order?
- Brown: Economic crisis "the difficult birth-pangs of a new global order" – Making him the massively patronising and complacent midwife, I take it. What if the birth goes badly?
- LABOUR POLITICIANS DO NOTHING WRONG AGAIN – The Daily Mash – 'THE Labour Party was embroiled in controversy last night after another four of its politicians did absolutely nothing wrong.'
- Twitter / andymcnab – ex-SAS slotter is twittering

Campaigning is like sex, says Blears
True enough. It’s somewhat unhygienic, it’s often more trouble than it’s worth, and I daresay Blears isn’t the only one in the Labour party who’s having more and more difficulty finding a partner at it.
Just shows what can happen when you don’t take proper care of your members.
Gordon Brown is mad! Why else is the man gibbering nonsenically on about global eco-chaos being “the difficult birth-pangs of a new global order”, or banging on and on about how the slightest hint or notion of protectionism should be crushed beneath the hefty treads of his mighty brogues?
Mad, I tell you!
[...] Chicken Yoghurt, I see that the Flying Rodent takes exception to Iain Dale pointing out that the BNP are, in fact, [...]

*Thinks of Natalie Portman to relieve the pain…*
In his post-Obama eagerness to blog, Prescott is becoming quite strange.
It’s odd to find a minor comment you’ve made on someone else’s blog picked up by Two Shacks.
