I’m 48. You’re not old.
38 if you feel old and depressed now, wait until you are old as Tony Smear
Wait until you hit 40 (a tactic I would strongly advise in preference to letting it hit you). Actually, the very day I reached that age was the very day I stopped giving a flying one at the moon about what anyone else thought about me. Liberating, it was. And you’ve still got it to look forward to.
Happy birthday!
You’re not old. I’ll be forty in a week and I’m definitely not old, so you certainly can’t be allowed to be. Not even middle-aged, until I say so.
Happy birthday.
Happy Birthday. You are old.
Ello!
Ave you seen the stink Merrick’s stirred up at Bristling Badger? Monbiot has ended up writing a whole new article coz of wot he wrote.

Good to see Monbiot actually morphing his beliefs rather than sticking to a dogma. I wonder if the debate this has stirred between Merrick, Mark Lynas and George Monbiot will cause Merrick to rethink his position.
