Were you one of the hundreds of people who sent an email to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights asking them to listen to former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray’s evidence on the UK government’s policy of using intelligence from torture?
It’s quite likely your public servants deleted it without even reading it.

To be fair, Outlook sometimes sends this even when you have read the message – depending on your settings, reading a message in the preview pane often doesn’t count as reading it. I’ve had people at work complaining that I’d deleted their mail unread when I had in fact read it.
Not that I believe that’s what happening here, but we can’t be certain that it isn’t.
