Links and stuff from between April 1st and April 3rd
Just what tickled my fancy in the last few days…
- Baton charges and kettling: police's G20 crowd control tactics under fire – 'There was a person in a wheelchair struggling to move, being pushed forcibly by them. It was totally disproportionate.'
- Duncan Campbell: Did the handling of the G20 protests reveal the future of policing? – All in all, a fucking disgrace.
- Liberal Conspiracy » The siege of Climate Camp – 'The policman's reply? He immediately conceded, with a bit of a laugh, that, yes, he had indeed lied.'
- Dunblane/Express update « Why, That’s Delightful! – Petitions delivered…
- "We're paying rent to tax dodgers" – Go Mark Thomas.
- AN EXCELLENT DAY ALL ROUND, SAY MEDIA, POLICE AND ANARCHISTS – The Daily Mash – '…both sides were cheered on by hundreds of jubilant reporters and cameramen.'
- POINTLESS THING STARTS – The Daily Mash – 'Britain would just like some nice photographs for Gordon Brown to look at when he stops being prime minister next year.'
- Poverty campaigners barred from G20 summit – 'War on Want and the World Development Movement (WDM) had both been given approval to attend the event in London's Docklands.'
- G20 dinner on Flickr – Lost your job? Struggling to get by? Console yourself by looking at these ponces rubbing your nose in it.

[...] Justin McKeating has a number of useful links on the subject. [...]
It says something about how tits-up and incestuous our media and politics have become when it requires a professional comic to tell the truth to power. As for that little tit Dougie A., he says that it’s not going to put right in 24 hours. Correct, but haven’t his parcel of rogues been in power for 12 frigging years? And have they not only been tremendously relaxed about some people getting filthy rich, but all but comatose about a great many more people becoming impoverished and seeing public services increasingly the domain not only of profiteers, but of tax-dodging profiteers?
Grrrr!
