The Brown fawning over Ronaldo is both disgusting and bizarre.
What the f*** was Harman playing at? Wasn’t a 12.8% gap big enough to make the argument?
Given that Brown is a Raith Rovers supporter, what’s Ronaldo to do with him?
As for Blears, I suspect she’s backtracking now the ‘coup’ has failed.
Blears video: is she seriously thinking it’s a tactical retreat rather than a humiliating disaster?
It is a tactical retreat. Tactics are the New Labour substitute for vision, strategy, long-term planning, short-term planning and any other planning that aspires beyond the level of sneak-thief plottery or bunker-bound insanity. And, since humiliation is the forcible removal of one’s pride, I should think that the bleary one, like many of our politicians and probably all of our ministers, is just about immune to it.
Brown: “I know Sir Alec Ferguson well” – not well enough to know his name evidently!
In an attempt to appeal to the man in the street, the Prime Minister must now peruse the tabloids, every morning scanning the headlines, looking for someone to admire, praise, admonish.
