Go on
Kids loved it, I did not go….
travesty
You’ve sold it to me…
Five syllables, though. How unnecessarily extravagant when there’s a perfectly adequate single one that would do.
Saw it today. Not awful, really, especially if you don’t expect a lot other than cool effects. The teen angst subplots were fun. Alan Rickman, as ever, has the most interesting character, but doesn’t get nearly enough screen time. Michael Gambon and JIm Broadbent were in fine form; Maggie Smith is getting old.
Helena Bonham Carter is a babe, even (especially?) when she’s dressed up as a psychopathic goth. Emma Watson looks borderline anorexic; she needs to eat something.
Anyway, far from the worst way to spend a couple of hours.
Have to agree. Certainly better than the book. Still think the series (both film and book) peaked with The Prisoner of Azkaban. And am absolutely dreading the arse-numbing experience that will be Deathly Hallows Pts 1 & 2. However, as the offspring have been to see all Potter films to date at the flicks, I’m sort of morally obliged to complete their entertainment experience psychological torment.
